Treatment Information:
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps both young people and adults develop practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping with stress.

It focuses on building emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness, supporting individuals to respond more calmly and thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. DBT can be particularly helpful for those with ADHD, where difficulties with emotional regulation, impulsivity, and focus are common.

Through a structured yet supportive approach, it helps individuals better understand their emotions, strengthen self-control, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and behaving.
